Padma Srinivasan is the founder of Padmartistry, a creative space where art becomes a pathway into the wisdom of the Divine Feminine.

Her work explores the intersection of art, mythology, and feminine spiritual philosophy, inviting contemporary audiences to reconnect with the powerful archetypes of Shakti embedded within India’s sacred traditions.

Padma’s fascination with the feminine divine began in childhood. Growing up with beautifully illustrated retellings of Indian epics—particularly the stories of goddesses and extraordinary women—she developed an early curiosity about the courage, resilience, and spiritual strength embodied by these figures. These narratives would later become the philosophical foundation of her artistic practice.

Academically, Padma’s path began in the sciences. She studied Biochemistry at the University of Mumbai, graduating as the University Gold Medalist, and later went on to teach in the very department where she trained. While her scientific education cultivated analytical rigour and intellectual discipline, Art remained her most natural language of expression.

Over time, painting evolved from a creative pursuit into a deeply reflective and spiritual practice. During transformative phases of her life—including motherhood—Padma found herself drawn back to the sacred feminine narratives that had shaped her early imagination. Through art, these stories began to unfold in new and deeply personal ways.

This journey ultimately led to the creation of Padmartistry.

Through her paintings, workshops, and courses, Padma explores the many expressions of Shakti within Indian philosophical and mythological traditions. Her work brings together storytelling, symbolism, and creative practice, offering participants an opportunity to engage with these archetypal energies not merely as mythology, but as living sources of insight, resilience, and feminine power.

Padma’s work has been showcased at the India Art Festival in Mumbai and featured in curated exhibitions such as Amalgamation-12.

At its core, Padmartistry is an ongoing exploration of a timeless idea: that Art can serve as a bridge between ancient wisdom and contemporary inner life, allowing the voice of the feminine divine to continue inspiring new generations.
